October 15, 2025: If you receive a claim denial from your insurance carrier, you might still have options!
- Understand the Reason for Denial: Review the denial letter from your insurance company to understand why your claim was denied. Get this in writing! The denial should be supported by the language in your policy of insurance.
- Gather Documentation: Collect all relevant documents, including your insurance policy, claim submission, denial letter, and any correspondence with your insurance company. This will help you build a strong case for an appeal.
- Contact Your Insurance Company: If your adjuster has been communicative during the claims process, reach out and ask for clarification. Sometimes, a simple misunderstanding can be resolved with additional information.
- Know your Time Limitations: Be aware of all time limitations regarding your claim and for filing suit that is listed in your policy.
- Contact LePley Law Firm: Following the above steps will be helpful for you, but as soon as your claim is denied, give our office a call.
